The original owner received this bike as a birthday present in 1963. It is a Swedish Crescent ladies bike with the original 26" tires (shown in the photos, they are bluish). A set of new 26 X 1 1/2" puncture resistant tires and tubes have been mounted. It came with the generator light powered by the front wheel (that still works), a bell (it dings), an integrated lock with key to prevent theft and even a handle if you need to carry the bike up a few flights of stairs.
Every part of this bike is of the highest quality, from the chain ring to the aluminum wrap around chain guard, the still true rims and spokes and even the tornado kick back brake. Even the mounting bolts on the wheels are aluminum to save weight! The original sprung seat and the also original grips testify to the quality of materials in this 53 year old bicycle.
$500 OBO will consider trades. The bike and I are in northern Fairfield County, CT, about an hour and 1/4 from the GWB or the Bronx. I could meet you at the Northeast or Somers stations on the Metro North.
